916 Rear Pad Pin Securing Clip

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by Haydn, Jan 23, 2015.

  1. Has anyone got one the small 90 degree clips to stop the rear pad pin falling out? I can get one with a new pin for £8 from ducati but theres nothing wrong the pin i have. Its the type that clips into a groove rather than the R type clips on the front calipers.

  2. Have you tried a KTM or direct Brembo delaer, it might be cheaper. I know the clip you mean I have seen a couple of those rot on early bikes so they are not that common to have as a spare.

  3. I don't trust the small circular clip that fits in a groove......I have several of them (from various other applications) but they seem so easy to flip off......

....so I drilled a 1.0mm diameter hole through the pin just past the groove and there is now an R-Clip in the pin as well as the round clip.....

  4. Another option is an E clip as opposed to the split clip that Brembo uses.
