  1. Hi All,

I've got my Monster front wheel, 916 forks and 900SS front end components ready to go together (well when yokes come back) and only need the spacer that holds the two bearings apart.

Cant find one on ebay etc so thought I'd see if anyone on here has one gathering dust somewhere?

    Many thanks,

    Ben

  2. have you got a pic mate??

  3. Can't get a link in here via my phone but it's a silver aluminium tube with 5 ridges running it's length

  4. [IMG]does it look like this??

  5. No that's the spindle

I want the spacer that fits onto it ;)

I have the spindle and nut

  6. The one that fits inside the wheel, between the bearings.
No, I don't have one but was trying to clarify what you want to others who may have one.

  8. Yes that's it I think

    I say I think coz I don't have one. ..

  9. You need someone with a damaged wheel as it's not the sort of thing you would keep a spare of.

  10. Yes I'm hoping that there is an unwanted one stuck in someone's cupboard somewhere needing a new home

These things often get skipped afters years of hanging around just in case. .

  11. oh I see, sorry haven't got one.

  12. Make one from a bit of bar?
Not sure if the splines are strictly necessary?

  13. If only you could see my crappy 6x8 shred you'd soon realise that it would be impossible for me to do that!

    Might have to try Ducati!!!!

  14. No way hose add I've not got a lathe :(

  15. Certainly for a 748 the spacer is listed as a spare part by Ducati. I'd be surprised if anyone did have lying about unless they had a damaged wheel. I had the same problem getting one for a Yamaha recently and had to buy a scrap wheel in order to get the spacer.

  16. Bloody auto correct on this phone.

    Yes I'll check out options.

Funny how the smallest parts cause the biggest headaches

  17. You can still buy them from Ducati as spares. Most of the bikes (except the "big" bikes) still use the 25mm axle with the same front wheel, so just pick something from a Monster or whatever.

I presume you've got an old 17mm monster front axle instead of a later 25mm one? They did switch over in about 99 or so from the small to large axle.

I know my Hypermotard 1100S is the same 25mm axle and has the same front wheel as the 748, which is the same as the 916... Ducati don't change parts unless they really have to!

  18. Actually @nelly would be the man to ask if they're still available...

  19. Funnily enough it was Neil that kindly gave me the spindle in the first place.

Will check out the link cheers!
