No special tool required although it is a good idea to modify the 46mm socket by grinding away any chamfer on the openeing (to get it onto a nut easier) as the wheelnut is very thin and requires a lot of torque so it can slip easily and round the edges of the nut.
Cheers got the socket done what you said got the wheel off, on the way for new tyre. Is it a good idea to put a small amount of grease on shaft cheers
Ducati specify to use Moly grease on the threads and underside of the nut, not only does this give the correct tightness in conjunction with the torque setting but means you'll get it off easier next time. I always smear a little on the locating pins, wheel/hub mounting faces, tapered spacer and washer too.
Dont forget to zip tie the circlip. Make this your mantra. I always smear a thin bit of copper slip on mine. Ive never properly torqued it. I just use a metre long socket bar and nip it up as hard as I can. However if you have an appropriate torque wrench then fine. One day I will buy a big one.
