It will "sweeten" it up a little, but I run mine on regular fuel without any hiccups. you running carbs or ie?
Carbs on my 900; it was more a question out of curiosity as I'm thinking in terms of what a 944 would be like as a straight swap, if that is indeed possible.
I always run mine on super due to the high comp pistons, gasflow, risk of detonation etc. Maybe would be OK on regular unleaded? but I've not tried and for the few pence extra it costs I don't intend to. I also (mostly) run my 916 on super especially since tuning/mapping although it seems fine on regular.
I used to run my 848 Evo on super, had no end of trouble with coke build up round spark plug as if running to rich, swapped to normal unleaded and never had the problem again
I have tried my 750 on both super and normal.............can't say I have noticed any appreciable difference in performance or sooting on the plugs etc........
