959 Blip Box Or Poss Translogic Qs

  1. Looking to replace the standard QS, preferably with a BSD Blip box, but would also consider the OEM replacement Translogic...

  2. Not sure if this helps but… The 1199 track bike I bought recently has a BSD blip box fitted and post installation of some new rearsets I couldn’t get the kit to work correctly. Spoke to BSD, gave them the serial no. and within seconds they were able to tell me the complete history of the unit, including it’s last software update. Turns out that mine is an older model and as such it needs to be sent back to BSD to be flashed, this will enable it to be used with a downward gear lever position (it was fitted pointing up so standard rearsets could be used in reverse shift) Newer units can be programmed on the bike to suit any configuration.

The guy I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable and really helpful, certainly gave me the confidence to not look elsewhere for a replacement.

Online reviews suggest the BB works well, lots of positive reviews out here.

  3. Thanks for the info, appreciate it :upyeah: Good to hear the CS is decent. There is one for sale on eBay, second hand, but boxed and supposedly unused, I'm tempted with it, but the seller wont budge much on price and its not a million miles away from what they cost through the BSD eBay store.

One way or the other it needs sorting, pretty sure the standard QS has started playing up, though only very occasionally. At first thought it was me not being positive enough or not coming off the lever completely, but it missed an upshift once last Monday and I'm as certain as I can be that it wasn't either of those things.
