996 Front Wheel Spacer

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by M55russ, Jan 10, 2018.

  1. Does anyone know where I can buy a front wheel space for a 996/Showa set up with the speedo drive removed as I am running a Translogic.
If anyone has a spare one or can point me to a source to buy one it would be much appreciated. (see photo)
    Thanks

  5. I had to work this out a few weeks ago. I was putting a bike together for a guy and he had fitted discs from an R so needed spacers behind them to get the correct offset. The internal diameter of the spacers prevented the speedo drive from fitting which wasn't a problem since we were fitting a Motogadget speedo but I needed a spacer to take up the space. The Monster one fitted perfectly

  6. Just grind/cut off the plastic from the speedo drive and you will be left with a spacer , I only fitted a translogic dash a few weeks ago.

  7. Yes, but why wreck a perfectly good speedo drive that could be used for something else. The spacer was cheap, did the job neatly and didn't involve any faffing around.

  8. Mine would be free...
