Does anyone know where I can buy a front wheel space for a 996/Showa set up with the speedo drive removed as I am running a Translogic. If anyone has a spare one or can point me to a source to buy one it would be much appreciated. (see photo) Thanks
You need part no. 714.1.045.1A. Cost from Ducati approx. £4.90 It is the front wheel spacer fitted to the following; 620S ie 800SS ie Monster 1000S ie - 2004 Monster 750ie - 2002 Monster 800 ie - 2004 Monster 900 - 2001 Monster S4 - 2002 Monster S4R ST3 ST3S ST4S ST4S ABS
I had to work this out a few weeks ago. I was putting a bike together for a guy and he had fitted discs from an R so needed spacers behind them to get the correct offset. The internal diameter of the spacers prevented the speedo drive from fitting which wasn't a problem since we were fitting a Motogadget speedo but I needed a spacer to take up the space. The Monster one fitted perfectly
Just grind/cut off the plastic from the speedo drive and you will be left with a spacer , I only fitted a translogic dash a few weeks ago.
Yes, but why wreck a perfectly good speedo drive that could be used for something else. The spacer was cheap, did the job neatly and didn't involve any faffing around.
Thanks guys for the heads up and help, this forum never ceases to amaze me with the knowledge and shear willingness to help people, cheers
