996 stalling

  1. Not a real drama ..... Clutch in ,closed throttle revs drop bike stalls ...... It's set up and runs like a dream it's just done this a few times and I want to up the idle slightly ..... Anyone have a pic/location of the idle screw ?? I know where the ecu adjustment is but that for throttle sync and I don't want to piss around with this ...... Muchos luuuuuurve

  2. ideally you would zero TPI, tune air bleeds and synchronise butterflies first as this will almost certainly raise revs all on it's own but anyway :- if you remove right hand side fairing it's just inboard of frame above the battery positive terminal, you will need an 8mm spanner and if it's caked in undisturbed yellow paint then does confirm it's time for a tune ideally.

Do you have a fast idle on your throttle and what kind of revs does it go to with cold engine?

  3. It's in for an mot , pickup tommorow so I'll check when I grab her ...... Fast idle on cold though isn't as pronounced as my previous 3 and normal idle I thought was a bit low ( sound wise as I didn't look just let it run getting warm) pickup and response is strong just this wee issue .....cheers Chris
