Could I just get a straw poll from 996 owners on how many miles they get out of a tank and how many miles do you risk after the fuel light comes on? TIA Mark
well my fuel light is on permanently.....so I just wait til i hit 100 miles on a full tank then fill her up i did ask for it to be fixed on the recent service but clearly they forgot and last minute asked if i wanted it doing, if yes wait for a part to come in. Given they had it 2 months I couldn't be arced waiting!!!!
Motorway (sub 100mph) cruising about 125 miles. Sunny day on the Isle of Man about 80 miles. Light came on the other day and it took about 12.5 litres so 20 to 25 miles should be easily do-able when the light is on - but I've never took it that close.
Many thanks chaps. Better than my 1098 then....... light came on at 80 miles and I was never brave enought to press on more than 10-12 miles! reagrds Mark
Used to go from Salisbury to Emms ... About 215mls filling up at tamworth just about reaching reserve then an 80ml push from there .... 15 mile top on reserve on the trip , didn't really wanna push a 996 anywhere .... I've done that for two miles when my chain bust
I did manage 155 miles on a blate down the A303 to Exeter on my 996 SPS before the yellow light came on and was beging to worry that it had stopped working. Normally its between 100 to 130 miles before the yellow light. The range on 1*98s seems real progress, so it will be 60ish on a panigale then ;-)
touring my 1098 last year was getting 100 miles then easy 20 once the light was on. Did not run it dry but best was 125 miles. Regards Steve
Typically 90-110 miles on my 996SPS before the light goes on. Most I have done is another 25 on reserve (never run her dry).
