2003 999Bip,Fj1100 bobber, Xs650 bobber,XT600Z Tenere,1150GS,Sv650 race bike

Ripped into my good 999 to try get my project 999 starting. Clock,ignition and ecu....turns out I have a 996R ecu in my good bike...how is this possible with the canbus set up?

they all say that from around that era....

there will be some other numbers on there and even a barcode, they are the more relevant to your bike

I have an ECU that does both the 996R and the 998S with a 50mm open system so I don’t see you have an issue. Andy
