What he said ^^^. I did my own Showas it’s not difficult although a second pair of hands helps when reassembling to compress the spring.

 

OP was asking about rebuild, not just seals and oil. If it’s got the original internals after all this time and never touched, a rebuild (even if no upgrades) is worth £150 or whatever the cost

 

True, I suppose they may need new valves as well.

 

He was also asking about upgrade like RE-valve, etc, that Colin will know about.

 

if they've sat for 20 years that oil in there will be like murky water.
Send them up to Kais, they do a full service for 150 which in the scheme of things isn't at all bad.
