evening all. Does anybody know where / if you can buy a shorter version of the one in the photo? If it were shorter, I'd be able to put the rearsets closer to the frame. At the moment, I'm using a couple of 10 mm spacers to move the rearset out so the heal guard doesn't foul the exhaust shield. Hole centres are about 75 mm. Thanks, Ian
As far as I am aware the answer is no. You have what looks like the stock 998 guard fitted and beyond that I only know of 2 other options the SPS type which is longer at the top and the earlier non 998 style type which may fit as it is not as wide. There is also the early square type which was fitted to early 748's etc. I would also say that a number of these guards from various manufacturers are probably no longer in production as accessories for the 748-9** range seem to be becoming rarer as the models get older. If you did find one that would fit you may have to alter the mounting point\s on the exhaust. I have had to do this in the past and the ideal here is to purchase the clamp that fits the exhaust to allow this, or you can make one using a jubilee clip and an inverted rivnut.
Thanks lads. I'll contact a couple of eBay sellers and ask for the measurements. If not, I'll get the Dremel out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
