Hey.. Any recommendations for clear tank protectors film. My jacket could make a mess of the rear of the tank. Saw someone mention some 3M film stuff that you cut to size. Ive struggled to find decent looking off the shelf protectors that are not carbon so thought to ask. Thanks for any info.
3M Ventureshield. If they don't have a 916/748/996/998 kit you can cut a piece to size and it's pretty invisible. Might even get a forum discount. Got it on my Multistrad and her Diavel, fiddly to fit but good finish. Andy
Ventureshield tank kit. £35. I wouldn't use anything else. You cannot see it unless you look close so appears factory fresh. Invisible patterns are a good supplier.
So would you then stick stompgrips over the film should you need some tank grip? I see ventureshield has numerous finishes, matt, gloss etc. Which would you recommend?
Use the gloss on normal paint. Yes you can just put stomp grip over the top no problem. If you want any help over the phone applying it, let me know and i'll give you a call. I've done about 5 sets now.
