In the pursuit of eobd 34 - I am considering cracking open the instrument panel and having a look - Anyone done this? Concerned that its an expensive bit which doesnt seem to have any screws holding it together is it simply pry it open ? Thanks
Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery? That can cure a multitude of sins! And yes, i believe the instrument panel is tres expensive!!
The case is held together with several plastic lugs. If you look round the join you can work out where they are. Tease the case apart with a screwdriver where these lugs are. The case will then open. For whatever reason, Ducati incorporated the Barometric Sensor in the dash circuit board. Some people have had success with just cleaning the components with a contact cleaning spray. If the sensor has failed Scorpio Electronics can repair the dash for £100 Scorpio Electronics
