I thought I would make a start by removing my broken screen The screws look as though they should take Allen keys but a 1.5 mm is loose and a 2mm doesn’t fit. Do they take a 1.75 mm Allen key or something else altogether???
I have quite a few sets of bits but they’re all too big :/ Will have to check out Halfords for teeny weeny torx bits
OR, use the trade discount card and get it for £10 https://www.halfords.com/workshop-t...fords-advanced-precision-torx-screwdriver-set
Had they had included mull-grips and a hammer, it would have been everything you ever really needed. Alas ...
The 999 toolkit is quite sparse in comparison with the one on the 998 and later 748s, this is from the 999 manual, not sure much is missing from yours OR and it looks like I have the same in mine Tool kit and accessories Stored in a compartment inside the right fairing panel is an envelope with: An Owner's manual; A helmet fastening cable(Monoposto version); A tool kit including: - Box wrench for spark plugs; at the opposite end, combined wrench (inner diam. 10 + outer diam. 14); - Tommy bar for box wrench; - Double-bit screwdriver; - Allen key for fairings (Monoposto version); - Screwdriver for rear shock absorber adjustment. The twin-seater version comes with a helmet fastening cable, which is stored underneath the passenger seat.
Isn’t the torx bit on the other end of the Allen key? Not trying to confuse here but the earlier models had them. Cheers, Ian
