I picked up an all-stock 2005 999S not too long ago, it looks like it has the standard exhaust (54mm; "Racing Use Only" stamped on the muffler). Does the "Racing" muffler have catalysts? It is not the symmetric system, and the piping seems quite small, especially on the vertical cylinder. Anyways- I've been a huge fan of the LeoVince + Akrapovic corsa/wsbk systems. I've seen a lot of mufflers come up for sale, sometimes even for prices that approach "reasonable". Are the mufflers themselves compatible with all "standard" 999 exhaust piping? I would think the diameters would differ, necessitating buying a full system? Does anyone have the Spark (racing/nonhomologated) system and have opinions? Maybe someone has a full LV Corse system for sale that fits deep-sump/boxed swingarms? Any/all help appreciated!
