I met a very fine fellow today, Justin ( juZ), who very kindly plugged my car into his diagnostic equipment and switched off my engine management light. whatever problem I had with the car has now gone away, hopefully never to return. The problem:http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f41/cars-engine-warning-light-diagnosis-tester-%A320-any-good-3128/
I read all the above with interest. - Any idea what the cause was in the end?...........Oh, and a big for JuZ from me too.
Wrecked The engine management light that was re-set, so far has not made a reappearance. Nothing was actually done to the car, apart from me disconnecting the Lambda sensor and running with it disconnected for a 100 miles or so, which seemed to make the engine run normally. Now after JuZ re-set the light, the car appears to run perfectly, I am however prepared for the thing to make a reappearance just when I think the problems have been solved. As this is the way of things! Could have been : 1. some bad quality petrol? I don't know if that could activate the engine management light, but I suppose it's a possibility. 2. faulty Lambda sensor, or about to come to the end of it's life? 3. fluctuation in the space time continuum?
