A Bit Of Market Research If You Have A Moment...

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by DanABZ, May 30, 2019.

  1. Lads and ladies,

Myself and a few partners are looking at the potential of opening a Ducati dealership in the Aberdeenshire area but need to get some idea of whether it would be worthwhile to potential customers or not.

If you’re in Scotland it would be very much appreciated if you could run through the below survey so we can see if there’s any interest. It’s 10 short questions and only takes two minutes going by those who’ve done it so far.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

  5. I'd look towards doing what OYB have done. A sort of club event of bike manufactures so no one is excluded & people mingle without much bother. Good luck from warwickshire'

  6. I live in Lossiemouth, so a Ducati dealership would be a lot easier than having to go to Glasgow, but only for the major service as I do my own oil/filter/minor work.

  7. Do Ducati hand out dealerships, or are they very selective as to who is awarded them?

  8. I've completed it mate, I live In Edinburgh but the bikes kept in Cornwall however. I've been here 8 years and still haven't even been to the Glasgow dealership so I'm not really the best to of answered however I do believe there should be some decent custom for you up in the more 'Braveheart' areas like Aberdeenshire. All the best!

  10. Thanks for all the replies so far lads. 22 have done the survey so far which isn't enough just yet but it's only been active a few days so it's encouraging so far!

  11. That's something that we're trying to establish. Things like this market research as well as a decent business plan and available land to plonk the dealership are probably all things that they will take into account.

At the moment we haven't had a 'no, f-off' from them which is encouraging, we just need to make sure it's a justifiable venture for us and them and hopefully that will be enough to get things set up. :)

  12. Completed

  13. It would be a hell of a commute from Aberdeen! Lol.

  14. Completed :upyeah:

  15. Thanks again to all those taking part. Unfortunately we only have 25 responses total, but the general indication is that people like the thought of a dealership here in Aberdeenshire.

If we manage to get anything to come of it I'll make sure I update everyone and in the meantime if you think of anyone who might be good to take the survey or want to share it on any groups you're part of, please feel free as it'll definitely help us out.

    Thanks again!

  16. Worth a try on the Ducati Owners Club Facebook page? Seems to have a varied geographic.

Good luck mate! Nice to see them popping up instead of shutting down :)
