I felt a need to try some lager for some reason. As I gave up beer for lent just as I put in a big order to Stroud Brewery for beer that I haven't even started yet (i am still working through the order before that!) but lager was required! And so I have just ordered some and wouldn't not get enough for free delivery as I dunno how keen I am, as I normally just do beer, not lager. So, I have "wasted" a fiver on delivery! But thinking again - as I do(!) - If I still had a driving license then I wouldn't give a moments thought to just popping up there and getting it myself! It would not cost me a fiver but not much less when you factor all of the running cost in. I am going to have to talk to my old insurance company again soon - and I hate talking to insurance companies! All of my NCDs will have gone now and I need to factor this extra expense into my claim.
Why have your NCD gone? ...they still are active even if you haven't had insurance for several years. Upto a certain length why would they have gone, haven't you had a vehicle for 3/4years on the road.
I thought that it was two years? Although it was two years since my accident. The policies in force at the time would of been in active for a little longer. And to complicate things still further, I got a total loss pay-out on my bike insurance. I don't know if they pursued Hastings for it, as although Hasting are still playing the deny liability game with me, they may have been "persuaded" by a fellow insurance company that they are going to be taken up the ass, anyway, so pay-out now. Dunno how it works.
