Not the best Xmas I have had, spent much of it, ferrying my wife to and from the local hospital to spend the days and nights in the company of her terminally ill mother. She lost her fight against cancer at 17:20 on Xmas day. We all as a family will mourn the loss and it's one year I would rather forget, but I have to be there to support my wife, now and in the future. It's a poignant time of year and if its taught me anything, it is to appreciate and recognize our own mortality and make each day count as if it is our last. Merry Xmas to all of you on this great forum and the collective community we form. I hope your festive period was a little less bleak than our own.
My sympathies to you and you wife. Know exactly where you are having lost both my parents at Christmas over the years. You are right, enjoy the moment with the people you care for and who care for you. Andy
