821 A Whistle Noise From Rear Wheel

Discussion in 'Monster' started by wolf piccoli, Aug 23, 2020.

  1. hello,
i put the bike on the rear stand to lube the chain and realised that the rear wheel makes a strange noise when I turn it (manually).
It seems that some sort of whistle.
    Any idea?
The chain does not seem to be too tight. and the noise does not seem to come from the rear brake (which works fine).
The rear tyre was recently replaced. May be the tighten too much the rear wheel nut?
    thanks
    wolf

Bike is Oct 2018, around 6800 miles done.

  2. Too tight
    Bearing issue
    No spacer between bearings.

  3. thank you. my suspicion confirmed.
i have done more than 400 miles since the new tyre was installed.
    hopefully no damage
