This poxy forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just typed a whole long post only to have the page crash on me again!!!! It drive me flippin' mad, no other forum I use does this AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your long sensible post should have auto saved, so you should be able to restore it to the last point at which it saved......
As you type a yellow box appears and says auto save. But I'm looking now, how to recover the txt, but I have used it a few times and it does work.
Oh the Mac is nothing to do with the computer crashing.....that's just so he can carry out his favourite pastime!
You could always draft out your long, complicated text in a word processor first, then cut & paste it into the forum when it is finished. If it crashes, you can have another go, Simples.
Yeah cheers Drinky :tongue: and yes you would've thought it would auto-save my post, but if it crashes and Windows has to recover the web page it doesn't.... It's the only forum I use that does this and it really pisses me off!
When your windows PC crashes or it's uniquely fragile browser can't support a forum then the Mac lets you put the 15 minute boot up time of Windows to good effect.:wink:
Fortunately my iPad is running safari as does my Mac Book Pro.....but my old steam powered pc with said fragile browser, still chugs along just fine too......:wink:

Which is why your posts are in Times New Roman. Ha! I had you sussed some time ago! My advice (which I use myself) is to copy the post into the Clipboard before you hit the post button. It does sometimes crash, but then you don't care - you have it saved and can just repaste it. Simples simples!
