  2. Ok so in my normal stupid manor I thought Italian bike week at the ace cafe was last week, after advice from my bike guru I decided to give it a miss as the journey didn’t sound much fun but anyway...

I am an insomniac and was sitting watching tv at 5am deciding where to ride to, so I figure I’d take an early morning spin to the ace cafe, wasn’t expecting it to be open, just an excuse for a ride, I’ve had a nice egg and bacon bagel with coffee, bought a couple of ridiculously over priced stickers for the toolbox and realise Italian bike day is in fact today!

So finally to my question, it’s supposed to be from 9am, is it worth hanging around for an hour? Or miss the traffic and bugger off home secure in the knowledge that it will be rubbish?

  4. Now you're there might as well hang around and chill for couple of hours, usually some nice bikes to be seen and as it's not chucking down make the most of it.

  5. I think you are right, on second coffee now, even if it’s rubbish I should have a good caffeine buzz by 9

  8. Pleasant meet today, fine selection of Italian bikes ranging from new V4R to old classics, to 916/996, to modern Scramblers, to a Paul Smart. I went on my Hailwood Rep this time, and when I was leaving it started first kick (!).

  11. The Ace meet is coming up again, Sunday 26 May 2019 at around noon. It's also Royal British Legion day, very popular with ex-services personnel.

  12. Apols, I’ll be at the Bike Shed, hope the RBL raise a few bob :upyeah:

  13. This was the Royal British Legion parade at the Ace cafe today:

Tim's 900SS won the prize for best classic - and we didn't even know there were any prizes:

  14. It's the Fourth Sunday again, so I'll be at the Ace cafe tomorrow (28 July) at around 12 noon.

The Ace list it as a "Sports Bike Special" so expect plenty of superbikes.

  18. I saw you leaving. I was standing with the guy from South Wales that owned the Pannigale, mine was the 1260.

  19. Next time we shall meet.

  20. @Duncs when I go to the Ace, I plan to get there at 12 noon as I did today. I always have done, for years. If anybody wants to go earlier or later, that's fine.
