I've got a suspected partially blocked fuel filter on my 1098 SF. Possibly watery fuel in it as well. A new filter should arrive tomorrow. Tank is off. Reading a piece on the 1098 SB in MCN today, they say there are potential problems with furred breathers and fuel pumps. My question is, is there a service procedure for the tank and the pump/filter unit and if so what should I do now the tank is off in addition to changing the filter? I'm aware of the need to take care with the O rings on the fuel line connectors and to be careful about base plate gasket. Anything else I should be doing/replacing while I'm in there?
Stick a Wynns dry fuel additive in the tank when it's all back together , used it for years , superb protection qualities where there has been water in fuel
