Hi im after some advice about what i need to do if I change my standard exhaust for a decat and end can. Does it need a power commander and dynoed or ecu mapping, or will it run ok just swapping them. Also read something about lamda sensor ?
This subject has been discussed in a number of recent posts. Fitting a decat pipe that retains the lambda sensor can be used without retune as some have done and still do. However a basic reprogramme of the ECU has its benefits and a full remap gives the bike another dimension. A Power Commander is not relevant to the modern ECU which is fully reprogramable. You biggest problem will be finding an end can that has an effective baffle as most aftermarket end cans will be very loud. Andy
