Part number 886.5.004.1A... While I have not got in touch with a dealer yet I am guessing they are crazy money for an o-ring. I have failed despite searching on here, measuring the old ones which ended up in getting some that are a tiny but too fat...now having found some measurements in inches I cannot find an o-ring that matches. Any pointers on where I can get some that are not bonkers money or am I going to have to bite the bullet? Obliged
Online checking shows these as sub £2 from Ducati direct. Not sure on wait times but wouldn’t imagine it would be too long.
Measure the diameter of the groove, that's your O-ring ID, Then measure the cross section of the old o-ring. Go to polymax or simply bearings and spec your o-ring with those 2 figures, ID and cross section. Choose the closest one if you don't find a exact match. Go slightly smaller in ID rather than larger.
Online works out expensive at £12 for a pair delivered. Best bet is ring your local Ducati dealer and see if they will Chuck a couple in an envelope for you rather than usual courier fees of £6. That or just pop past and order them in
Great thank you...will pop into Ducati Chelmsford if I am passing or otherwise give them a bell. Thank you all
