Help ! Does anybody have a picture showing where the air temp sensor is mounted please, I know it's just under the nose one but just can't see where it actually mounts ( rebuilding a front end so nothing to copy) Thanks in advance.
In I guess that's on the header when sat on the bike? Ah that's good thanks, my 999 it's under the nose one so I was miles out
I believe I need this, http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=390425128185 But where fits ?
The 998 uses an air pressure sensor and does not have an air temperature sensor like the 748-9*6 models. It screws to the bottom headlight bracket It is situated at number 2 in the illustration.
Is that not just the male part with the sensor on it that pushes into the socket on the expansion tank? Edit: obviously on the pre 998 bikes only following the above post
The above are incorrect as they are for 748 -9*6 models. The pressure sensor looks like the one below.
I wonder which car they are from as they will be cheaper  they might have a part number stamped on them.
Paul, no that will only fit models up to 996 the 998 air pressure sensor (Including 996R) is unique to that model as is the headlight bracket and the front two parts of the wiring harness. This is the correct one on eBay, but not cheap. You can see how it fits to the bracket though. DUCATI HEADLIGHT HOUSING BRACKET WITH AIR PRESSURE SENSOR 998 998S 82912901A | eBay
