1200 DVT Alloy Or Carbon Wheels

I've don't have a DVT,,but call me old fashioned but i like and prefer metal wheel's

 

I've only ever seen the one brand of carbon wheel, BST, about $3500USD(e). Personally, as someone who's dented a forged Marchesini, I'd be chicken to have CF on my regular bike. On a track maybe, I'd worry about one disintegrating at speed from the same type pothole dent I got on the superslab.

 

BkeHPS do a good range of wheels.

Conquest carbon is a trader on this site if you like Dymag, might be able to wrangle a deal!

 

Also, check with your local tyre fitters about carbon wheels, a few of my local fitters won't touch mine. There are places that do it but fewer than will do stock or forged wheels.

Morning Steve, I do, but not on the Multi, I have BST's on a ZZR, and they completely transformed it. I can't comment on how they would be on the Multi, but the change to the big Zed was massive. My only word of caution would still be tyre fitters, and even when they say they can do them, do some checking first with net reviews etc. I'm lucky, my local tyre fitter does them and takes utmost care. It's not that they are gonna break them, more scratch or chip them, so it's worth the effort to find a really good fitter.

 

I have them on my Multi and would agree with Wayne’s comments in terms of improvement.Much quicker change of direction/ flickable .
Had two sets of tyres on no issues.Go for it would be my advice plus I reckon they will always be worth decent money if you change bike.

I'd have carbon on my multi-enduro in a heart beat! But BlackStoneTek, in South-Africa do not seem to think there is a big enough market to make the rear wheel. They already do one that will fit the front.

Saw a white 12 plate Multistrada in the workshop this morning. Must say, the eye is definitely drawn to them. If the pavement is the most off road you get, I guess if you have the money, why not. Andy

 

They look gorgeous but is there any pitfalls when having tyres changed ?
Changed enduro tyres with mouses in the past and the rims were not a pretty sight
