Hi all, A really dumb question, but one worth an ask... What other rear master cylinders fit on the carby SS? I think the 999 etc and 916etc ones will fit, but I want to be sure before buying.. someone out there must know! Cheers, Ben P.s. reason for asking is mine is stuffed.
AFAIK there are 2 (maybe more?) basic designs; those with the outlet on the end and those with a 90 degree outlet, depending on fitting/ location etc. For example the one on my Monster (maybe like an SS?) has the hose outlet straight out the end but the one on my 916 has it at 90 degrees (out of the side next to the inlet) due to it being so close to the exhaust.
Check with these people...................many of the KTMs used the same calipers (not sure about rear ones).......they even have Brembo service kits for them. http://www.jimaimracing.co.uk/
thanks for the reply - it sounds as though the ss is same as 916 in terms of the outlet in terms of fitment, are the bolt holes the same spacing apart do you know?
Al, you replied same time as me... thanks for that we looked at servicing mine, but it is too corroded from sitting in fluid for two years unloved once this is sorted it's MOT time and I cannot wait!
