Following on from the previous question about water temperature sensors - does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a cheaper version of the oil pressure sensor for an ST4 engine ? Any suggestions gratefully received... :smile:
M10 x 1.0mm fitting, IIRC 0.9 bar? as used in many VWs and others, can be had for less than a fiver but may not have the 'Amp' socket on at that price, rather the old-style 6.3mm connector. Should be plenty on ebay...
Derek - I think Ducati buy them from Vauxhall for £3.00 then ship them to Italy, put them in a Ducati box, and send them back to the UK and charge £30.00 for doing it. It's a bit like why does a £5.00 SKF bearing cost £25.00 just because it's in a Ducati box ? Same deal...
Its the same reason as OEM Ducati brake disc bolts cost 1.40 each.......... ........but they can be obtained for about 20p each if you buy 200.......... ....all made by the same people in the UK no doubt, but the Ducati ones have gone round the world twice. AL
