748 Aluminium Fuel Tank

Just aquired this fuel tank, lovely piece of work. Taken it back down to the bare aluminium for painting.

It's not a Beater Japan tank, has no markings, but looks like the original Bucci ones. Anyone know any other manufactures possibly made these?

I meant aesthetically its the same as oem, the ears do look pinched in the photo, but are not compared to stock, photo taken in bad light. And yes its the 21L...had a late night too, not stock capacity, as I just sold an ali stock capacity one. Compared it to oem tank and looks exact and fits great.

It is the one off ebay, but had to re carbon and will drill new countersunk holes in fuel cap as holes did not align.

you are right, was thinking of a standard Ali tank I sold a few weeks ago, it s indeed the yellow one off eBay. You're not going mad

 

Funny you mention that, I’m picking it up Monday from the re-sprayers

 

Breather. Took the breather, hose and valve off as getting re-sprayed

 

Just test fitting new fairings, still got graphics to apply and new coolant hoses to put on. Pic has old tank on my bike, picking up new one Monday. Just rewired most of the bike and fitted the 2 small front projector type lights. Resprayer, done good lovely finish in commercial paint, very hard wearing.

 

Well that’s the tank, fits lovely, just need to nudge forward a tad...need to sort out air box seal, new viton o ring in pump and the air breather & fuel cap.
