Bought a few bit for Ducati Sheffield for the rebuild. 2 things. Never bought parts from Ducati before, 1st do they often supply their OEM parts in "bank cash-up bags". 2nd not a good picture but the sight glass looks like something they found it kicking around the workshop floor. Having a moulded rubber outer coat I would have expected something a bit cleaner, the rubber and glass was filthy. Why are they in bank bags with no Ducati reference, and yes I know it was only 66p, but the sight glass wasn't. Any comments appreciated, of course I will be asking them but, wondered if I am expecting too much. Cheers Gaz.
It's your call Gaz of course, but I would think sight glass was stock from workshop etc that nearly got used on a vehicle and as long as it is only dirty and not damaged I would just fit it personally. I don't know if stock of those is plentiful (someone like Nelly would) but if it's becoming hard to obtain I would even think myself lucky :smile: (a devil of a job to fit apparently)
If you want fancy packaging just send them to me. I will repackage and charge you the earth for the nice stuff you throw in the bin.
Too fussy it is then. Thanks for all comments. Just wanted to see if this was other peoples experience. It was not the fact I wanted fancy packaging just did not want to be palmed off with inferior and/or reproduction parts. Cheers Gaz
