1. Hi All

Its in the Motorcycles for sale section.

Impending divorce and the Government’s insistence that I end my current employment status has meant that I have to sell my beautiful baby. It’s not something I want to do at all, but I really don’t have much choice :frown:

Some of you might have followed my build on ‘that’ previous Ducati forum. I bought this as a Cat C write off and lovingly put her back together with no expense spared.

It is without doubt, the best motorcycle I have ever owned. It has taken me to the Nurburgring, and two weeks whizzing down the B500 to the Italian lakes, fully loaded, Mrs Cad on the back, and has never missed a beat.

As a Cat C I am fully aware the value will be less, but it probably still one of the nicest Multi’s you will find. Not withstanding the prices quoted elsewhere on the forum, I’m still going to put it up on good old e-bay for about £10495. I’ll stick it on here for £10k for forum guys. That’s still a thousand less than the cheapest Bike trader or E-bay Touring S, especially with all the carbon fibre!

I think it’s a bike that you will either love cos its so non standard, or you wont touch because its not standard and a Cat C.

It is beautiful though and almost looks brand new. Wherever I go people comment on it, especially those with multis or other ducs.

I’m hoping to pay a few bills off and get another damaged bike and do it up bit by bit, hopefully another Ducati. Discovered that I actually like doing that, and that way you can get all quality parts and fluids ect. You end up with a bike that is so more superior than standard!!

  2. Have read the full spec in the ad, cracking looking bike, hope you get what you're asking as in my opinion it's worth it! Understand the divorce thing as been there, done that but why the job? Good luck, Chris.

  3. Ah sorry to hear your tales of woe....pity I never got see the finished product as the other site folded before she was ready! If you could put some pics or a link that would be bril.

    PS!

Paul, just saw this in the for sale section....must say she's a beauty! Having seen the pictures when you started I would have no hesitation regarding the "C" cat thing!

  4. Hi All

Thanks for the nice remarks. It is a lovely bike, Its a shame its on the register as a Cat C, but then I guess if it wasn't, and I hadn't brought it back to life, it wouldn't be the thing of beauty it is now.

I would not hesitate to do the same again. In fact my son recently bought a smashed YZF R125 and we have just done the same thing. It passed the MOT first time on Saturaday and he cant believe he now has an immaculate YZF for the price of an old ratty RS 125!! At the moment there is a smashed Triumph Explorer on e-bay. If I can sell early I'll pay all my bills off and start again and with a bit of luck I can buy another multi one day :))
