Any Idea What The "lock Point" Does On The Usb Socket Under The Seat

  1. Any idea what the "lock point" on the USB port under the seat actually signifies/means/enables?

Also is there any sort of USB plug that can fit in the socket and prevent the ingress of water as I am pretty sure with a normal cable in whilst riding in the wet, water would end up filling up the socket due to its orientation?

    TIA

  2. I was wondering that to, i pierced a tiny hole in the cap and threaded a usb cable through it

  3. Hmm that's a good idea

  4. May be its a screw fit and that’s just telling you which way to take it off. Try it, see what happens.

  5. Sugru. Mould it around the usb cable and plug it in. Push the sugru into the hole to form the shape and then carefully pull it out and let it set. Boom, instant waterproof seal.

  6. Not seen or used sugru before. I'll give it a try

  7. Very good stuff. It's like bluetac that sets into a hard rubber.

  8. Does it stick to anything?

  9. Pretty much. Very strong when it does stick too. Check out their website.
