I have always bought the best cables I could afford to go with any upgrade I've done on my home cinema set up through the years. My 8K TV has arrived and I'm looking through the cables I have. I've spent a bit of time on the internet trying to understand how the HDMI has moved with the times because clearly 8K is shifting a lot more data but I have to own up, most of it is way over my head. My question is, how current is my (2011) Chord Silver Plus high speed HDMI cable today ? Chord no longer support any information for it but comparing their current high speed HDMI cable with an article in What Hi-FI ? from 2011, there doesn't appear to be a big step forward other than in the aesthetics. The Silver Plus is very chunky. TIA, Andy
