1260 Anyone Know The Screw Size And Type Of The Twistgrip Body...

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Martylaa, May 2, 2025.

  1. I need to replace one of the screws that holds the throttle body together on the 1260 Multistrada, its the ones you remove if you want to install the throttle spacer (using the special adaptor that comes with the spacer).

Anyone know the size or type of screw, Ducati parts couldn't help me...

  2. I'd recomend changing your Subject to read 'Twistgrip Body' to get more interest, as 'Throttle Body' is the term used to describe the intake injector/butterfly body.

  3. Will do and thanks...

  4. Do you mean you took it apart and lost one :punch::joy:
Do you not have the other one to compare? Or add a photo to eliminate confusion and show exactly what you want?

  5. Good idea.
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction or help with identifying buying one for screw fix or somewhere like that as Ducati simply do not list the part?

I'm thinking it looks like a M4 x 25mm bolt, anyone agree or am I measuring it wrong?

  6. Crisis averted, bought a M5 x 25mm screw from Halfords, fits and holds it perfectly. I'll see if I can find a black one with same security as the original part but for now at least I have two and not one screw holding it together...

  7. If you have confirmed it as M5 25mm then it's an M5 25mm security Torx in black, here.
