I suppose it's possible, and in there defence the pinch bolts are a sod to get at, but I'd of though only one of them would have gone and may be pulled the other stanchion in. plus if they were lose surly you would slowly push them through the yokes every time you braked?
I thought I read on this forum last week someone mentioning dropping them through to lower the ride height ! Maybe I dreamt it
