748 Anyone Still Doing 853 Conversions?

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by Tim Skipper, Sep 12, 2017.

  1. I've been searching around and with these bikes being so old now it's getting harder to find tuning parts etc.

Does anyone know if there are reputable places still doing 853 conversions on the 748 motor? I'd love a bit more punch from my bike but I don't really want to sell it for something faster.

  2. 1098 / multistarda engine swap is the new 853 build.

  3. EVR still do both a standard and a high compression kit for the 748 including an EPROM at about 1400€. There are reputable engine builders out there who can do the basic swap up to a full engine rebuild so anything from about £600 to £4k unless you are competent to do the basics. IMO the 853 is the ideal compromise between a bit more oomph and a fire breathing monster with a 1198 engine. I have an 748RS based 853 which is awesome. Andy
