I recently got my '98 916 SPS back from the hands of Rich @ Louigi Moto and WOW, what a difference! Its had a lot of TLC, with a full service, a total engine rebuild, a Dyno set up with custom maps for each cylinder by Chris of CJS - giving over 130bhp at the rear wheel with a good smooth torque curve, and all finished off with some detailing work to make her beautiful again I've only had chance for a brief 'shake down' run on it, but by god what a difference. So much smoother, much more grunt and even sounds better. Well done Rich & Chris - Thanks!
Hi Bianchi that's a good result with the power, i took my 749 down to chris and it was a different bike afterwards, so much smoother.
Rich is good, I'd recommend him everytime. He took my 749 when I first got it and stripped it right down, put a lightweight mono seat unit on for me, new tyres, the works and it was dyno'd by Chris at CJS. Runs like a dream and doesn't cut out when idling at traffic lights anymore. Worth travelling to for a service, though fortunately only 6 miles from me.
I couldn't agree more guys. I've known Rich for years and he has fettled many of my Dukes. He's very knowledgeable and talented, almost anal in his attention to detail and a genuinely nice guy. I've had the SPS since it was a year old and during that time this is the most comprehensive work that I've had done to it, but I can honestly say it has never run this good - I'm seriously happy!
