Hi all, After 25 year out of the saddle, I am finally ready to enjoy the thrill of the ride again. Back in 1999 I had a rather unfortunate close encounter with a deer and ended up in the hospital with memory loss, but luckily recovered fully. The thrill of the ride never left me though, but now that the children are grown up, it is time for me to enjoy riding again. I attach a picture of the Honda CBR1000F, which the deer took me down on. What an amazing machine, but I am now looking for a Ducati 998S to get my butterflies back. Keep riding and just try to keep it safe!
One observation . . . I did replace the rear tyre on the old CBR1000F with a 210 profile, making it a lot more appealing, if a bit tail happy xD
You might consider starting with something with a comfortable riding position and less power for a little while. Then move up to a sportier bike as soon as you are back in the habit. Just a suggestion.
