First time doing a TD since my 'event' at snetterton a few years back bit of a shakedown really both the bike and moi its a 749 have my own van but sadly not my own @Expat Jack - my mentor, cheeleader and all round good egg so i finally bought ramp and chock and have a good supply of tools in my garage so now need to decide what to take in a carrier bag question is - what are the essentials tools i must take in my not kitted out van?
You generally shouldn't need many tools. Just enough to check tyre pressures, add air to them, to adjust chain tension, and to remove your wheels (if you're planning on changing tyres). Anything else is dead weight really. Things that are not tools that are handy are a table, a chair, extension lead, kettle, paddock stands, and a mat (and tyre warmers if you have them).
Plus a flask of tea, snacks and gaffa tape, zip ties and assorted bolts. Enjoy your day mate. Take it steady. When is it again?
