back protectors

  1. anyone know can you buy a back pack that's also a back protector? I mostly ride in full leathers complete with a small rucksack in which I carry keys wallet phone clear visor if needed etc and seeing as the leathers wouldn allow room for a back protector I was thinking if there is any that are dual purpose.

  2. Fatty, your leathers are too small for you :upyeah:

Maybe Kriega do one that has a back protector

  3. If you can't find one and depending on how big your sack is (Rucksack that is ! ) maybe buy a Dainese wave one as they are quite small and stitch into the inside of the rucksack.

  4. Yes you can, because a mate has one. But I can't remember what make it is. It is red.
This would seem to be a good moment to hit Google.

  5. Although I have on many occasions worn a variety of backpacks, with a variety of contents, when riding, I can't get past the idea that it is probably unwise. Back protector or not, surely if one ends up sliding down the road, the backpack could catch on something or just create enough extra friction to make one mor elikely to timble or flip?

  6. I'm fairly sure Dainese do one. But I prefer the back protector as close to my back as possible to be honest.

  7. thanks folks :upyeah:..............cranker, not fat lol, im 6 ft 2 and about 15 stone but fairly fit considering iv been ill for two years. im wearing alpine star one piece leathers and really they are already a snug fit. ideally I would rather wear both spinal and chest protection. I came of my last 1098 and wrecked helmet , leathers, gloves , boots, even the fleece I had over the leathers, but not even a scratch on me backpack.....figure that out.i like the idea of the kriega set up and want a not to large pack, so may check out suppliers in this here gods country.
it also may not be ideal wearing a pack but I have seen first hand the effects of objects in pockets in the event of crashing. not nice.

  8. If the bag is just to put in stuff like phone, wallet and sunglasses (remember summer??) then what you need is either a bum bag, or preferably the miniture magnetic tank back you can buy such as I have. Assuming, of course, that your tank isn't alloy or plastic. The one on the 999 isn't. After all, you don't want to be in your streamlined one-piece and have a ruckack ruining all your aerodynamics, now, do you?

  9. . Check out the Ogio No Drag - its great on the bike if you need something bigger than a bumbag
