Back To Black (leather)

  1. My jacket and gloves are black leather but were losing their colour in places, so looking rather scruffy. Leather creams etc helped a bit but not properly,
I tried using Kiwi 'Shine and Protect' which is intended for leather shoes and comes in a small plastic bottle with a foam applicator.
    Worked a treat :)

  2. That sounds good. I have a leather sofa that is looking the worse for wear. I might try kiwi on that!

  6. I had some bike leathers altered by a specialist bike leather repair chap. He recommended shoe polish for general care etc. reckons that the requirements are essentially the same and that shoe polish manufacturers have put much more resources into R&D than any other leather goods industry, meaning that the stuff is as good as it gets.

Have to say black shoe polish works well enough on my all black leathers (when I can be bothered) but I suppose it gets more complicated with multi coloured (and white) leathers?

  7. The great thing about the Kiwi stuff is that it is a relatively thin fluid and soaks well into the leather and dyes it
