The Rapido Sport Racing team have kick started their 2013 preparations at the Oulton Park test circuit. Matteo Baiocco was making his 2013 debut as he raced around the test course and allowed the riding team to gather a lot of data ahead of the 2013 season and, by all accounts, Baiocco acquainted himself well with both the bike and the track.

The Italian is a multiple Superbike Champion and had recently joined the team for the 2013 season. His experience as a factory test rider is expected to be extremely valuable to the outfit as they try and compete in the 2013 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship and bring success to the team and the Ducati brand.

The 28 year old rider will be at the MCN Show at Excel this Sunday and is preparing himself for start of the circuit in April this year at Brands Hatch Indy before coming back to Oulton Park in May.

  2. I can't see any decent results here, bottom 10 maybe, The WSB bikes are still a second off the pace and this guy hardly knows the tracks(not that that held Greg Lavilla back in 2005). He's the only 1199 in the series so will be developing and setting the bike up on his own on our unique circuits. A big task.

  3. Was at oulton yesterday chatting with Wilf and watching the boy go round, going very well given he'd never been to oulton before but still 8-10 seconds off the pace, first time on the bike though.

Wish them all the best for this year
