Bargain I think....

  1. Whats the catch..................................??

  2. Is it a coincidence that the mileage and the price are the same?

  3. And do you need to add 20% to that price for Vodka and Tonic, which would make it £4338

  4. I thought there was a stated case whereby if an item is advertised at a price, that is what they have to sell it for? But then I guess the proper price will actually be on the bike in the showroom....
Still, a good way to get punters in the shop I guess.

  5. Shame it was not a buy it now price, under ebay rules that would be a legal contract.

  6. Nah - offer and acceptance mate...

+ one doesn't normally put the words "riders" and "bargain" together!

  7. Its basically a 1200S Touring, less than a year old, £11k starting price. Hmmm, wonder what my 2012 bike trade in value will be if I want a 2013 model?

  8. Sneaky not including that in the headline price...

  9. It isn't that cheap IMO

  10. Urban myth.

  11. I think originally it was £3,615 (they put the mileage in the price field). Its been corrected.

  12. It makes sense now. I thought they'd put the mileage in the price field when I posted earlier (post #3)

  13. Oh right never seen that lol

Got offered a good deal today on mine for an 11 plate Sport with Panniers, 5k on the clock sorely tempted now!

  15. Very nice mate!

  16. Nice, is that a Mivv ghibli exhaust? What do you think of it? Do you have any pictures without the pannier in the way?

Of topic I know, but then it's my thread

  17.
  18. Hi Dawg yes it is a mivv ghibli and decat. Quality seems as good as most, no pics will try take some at the weekend looks the biz though imo. Power wheelies off the throttle no problem. Only issue is that it is very loud , louder than a 1098 with 70mm system with no baffles loud, so earplugs are a must. Nice sound deep raspy sound at tickover then a full on unmistakable twin rumble on the go reminds me of a big yank engine not as gruff as a booming termignoni on previous ducatis.. The noise is perhaps a bit ott very full on gets a lot of attention. I dont think the touring mudguard will fit with this exhaust without risk of melting, its about a cm clear and runs pretty parallel.

    so pluses and minuses...

  19. I run the same set up ie Mivv Ghibli and de cat no baffle!

Nice and loud....neighbour hasn't complained yet, which is unusual ....then again we don't like him much anyway :upyeah:

Cop rode next to me on the north circular the other day, but he was more concerned with the 3 miles I was over the 50 limit than the noise, well I think anyway because he eventually rode off ahead of me tapping his dash furiously:biggrin:

Well I'm happy with the set up and can add the Ghibli baffle quickly (3 screws) at any time, but prefer to let my Delilah breathe freely even if it is a bit loud....probably not louder than some of the old hardley ablesons around
