Base line settings for Ohlins rear shock 749s

  1. I have just bought a second hand Ohlins rear shock for my 749S as the original Showa is worn out after 26k.

I learnt how to set up the Showa for sag, and rebound, although I didn't do any experimentation with the compression settings as it seemed o'k to me on the recommended baseline settings.

I would appreciate any advice for setting up my Ohlins please.

I'm intending to suspend the rear of the bike from my garage rafters and I have a Motorax rear paddock stand to do the swop. any tips welcome.

  2. My advice, bring the bike to an Ohlins approved suspension specialist or similar and get your static sag etc set up correctly.
