Diavel Belt Cover Removal

Discussion in 'Diavel & XDiavel' started by Carbon749, Mar 2, 2018.

  1. Hi, treated myself to a set of carbon belt covers for my gen 2 Diavel.

I've managed to swap the cover for the front cylinder without too much hassle.

But, it looks as though I need to strip the tank cover off, which includes all the various air intakes etc etc to get the rear cylinder belt cover off.

Is this right??? if so, does anyone know how much I have to strip from the bike .... do I have to take the tank off as well?

    All advise welcome.

  2. Ideally the tank has to come up, especially to be safe putting the carbon one back in. Have fun

  3. Bugger, I thought I may have too ..... just filled it to the brim as well, to stop the fuel sender drying out and sticking over winter.

Was hoping for an easier swap :pensive:
