Bemoto Multi-bike Insurance Refusal To Renew.

Discussion in 'Insurance - Sponsored by Ducati Insurance' started by Paul55, Apr 22, 2020.

  1. The lovely people at BeMoto have just informed me they will not renew my multi-bike policy that I have had for the past year.
I have never claimed and have 10+ years NCB.

I have had the awful Carole Nash experience, so don't want to go there again.

Need to cover KTM 990 & MV F4S for the road, very low annual mileage.

Also five Ducati track bikes if possible.

Reaching out to the forum for advice/experience please.

  2. Wtf? Did they give reason?

  3. Think a reason would be helpful?

  4. Try Bikesure? I got a two bike policy from them and again this year no one despite ringing around all majors companies came within £30.

Only draw back that I am aware of is changes to the policy are £30 once issued, so make certain you get it right first time.

  5. Sound’s like they have lost the business of an underwriter. Andy

  6. Just had my renewal from them , 3 bike multi policy, £30 cheaper than last year, due in a couple of weeks, I would be phoning them to ask why.

  7. I’d have to know the reason, without context, that makes no sense. I’ve been with Bennetts for the last two years, seems that as long as you’re points free, they’re very competitive

  8. Not an unusual comment nowadays. Especially in higher crime postcodes or living in London like me. For years I was with Ducati insurance always about £350 FC. Then one year after their change of ownership is jumped to £980. I asked them to reconsider but they said previous underwriters were refusing to quote so only very expensive quotes available.

so rang just about every insurer many with the same story, sorry sir many underwriters are refusing to quote .

then came across Lexham insurance who were very efficient and professional over the phone, seemed to be very bike oriented and got FC for about £350. Maybe give them a try?

  9. No points, live in rural Sussex, always garaged.
I have asked for a reason.

  10. Bikesure have never charged me for the add on stuff I’ve informed them of. Ring them every 3 months with changes I’ve done. Never been charged an admin fee.

  16. Thank you, could maybe work for the track-bikes.

  17. Yes they specialise in that sort of stuff Paul

  18. I’d be interested in their reason too, as I’ve recently renewed my multi bike policy with them so wouldn’t want to be caught out next time.

  19. I'm on a multibike with Bennets, nobody came close and I renewed with them again.
