1098 Best Workshop Manual For A 1098s?

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Gryphon, Jul 17, 2020.

  1. Hi All,

There seems to be a load of options for workshop manual downloads - I assume they can't all be the same or genuine?. Can anyone direct me to the best option for a pdf or paper version?

    TIA

  2. Thanks Jonesy - That's the one I also found online. Seems to be fairly comprehensive. Great pics too - where did you get that centre stand? Must be good for the back to get it that high off of the ground! What's your level of mechanics? I'm very mechanically minded but a bit scared to pull a bike down to that level.

  3. It's an Abba Stand Sky lift. It has been a godsend savining me crawling round on the ground. Also you can move the bike around while mounted :upyeah:
In my "earlier" years I've done most things on cars but never really done stuff on bikes. Took me about 2 years off and on to get this done. I will confess I did go to some specialists for suspension rebuild, brake calipers, powder coating (TPCS) and engine (Louigi Moto) partly because I really wasn't sure and partly becuase I didn't have the tools. Once I had it back together and running I had it checked over. I'd had some bits off and on so many times I wanted, for peice of mind, a double check. But I did take it all a part, repaired plastics, replaced stacks of bits and put it back together.

Give it a go, if you get stuck there are lots of people on here who very generous with there time who helped me loads.
