Beware Southampton Ducati Owners

  1. Between 4.30 and 5.00 this afternoon my Multistrada 1260 was stolen from outside West Quay shopping centre Southampton
I only got it a couple of weeks ago, hadn’t even got round to getting El T to change my bike details on my profile.

So if anyone gets offered a cheap 1260 Multi in the next few days let me can know
    AO70WUK if you spot one

  2. Utter scrotes; I feel for you.

  3. Really sorry to read this, infuriating hardly covers it..

What colour was it, anything on it that made it unique?

  4. POND SCUM!

Really sorry this happened to you.

  5. Red of course

panniers are still in my garage
And I’d fitted a phone holder to the bars

  6. Bastards. Hope you manage to recover it intact.

  7. I don't know about later Multis, but is there "play" in the steering when the lock is engaged? I was thinking it was a van job but could be kids if they can break the lock/free the steering. I had my early Multi stolen twice in the last 5 years and this is what they did both times, by kicking the handlebars apparently.

  8. Some people are shits, hope you get it back undamaged!

  9. It’s got keyless ignition that’s tied into the immobiliser so I suspect it’s not kids more likely four blokes and a transit

  10. Bloody hell, sorry to read this.

  11. Feel your pain. Had a bike stolen this year too.

  12. Any hope of accessing the shopping centre’s CCTV, if it covered your parking spot?
Do the police alert the Port and record who boards etc?
A pal of mine had his gorgeous new T160 Trident stolen from Chelsea 50+ years ago and the police told him that by the time the party he’d been to had finished and he’d reported it, the bike would be in France never to be seen again. It was never seen again, but there was no CCTV in those days…. However, nowadays, the police generally have a very good idea about where stolen bikes might be laid up for a day or two until the thieves know the bike don’t have a tracker fitted. It may also be worth having a drive round the backstreets and alleyways nearby. I’ve retrieved three of my bikes that went missing at different times doing exactly that.
Really hope you get it back. Best of luck to counter the shit luck of getting it pinched.
