  2. Going nuts with boredom so decided to use the mtb, first half road, second half old rail line walkway.....big mistake!

79B82431-A746-4C86-B31D-01B74E641D82.jpeg Bloody bleak on the roads today
E9B4FB9F-8A6A-4A4E-B08B-BA1AEF127867.jpeg Poor horses must have been frozen stiff!

C988A9F1-9C8A-4F10-9519-E0279A4F22B3.jpeg This Swan was having a hell of a time trying to take off, he could have done with a set of spikes on for a bit more traction!...when he did get off, he flew directly over the top of me, only about eight feet above my head, was great hearing it clucking away to itself and you could really hear the wind going through its feathers,..absolutely awesome it was!

D7DFC99D-4898-4C4B-BC10-ABFC87BA5542.jpeg Second half of the ride was down this,...sheet ice covered with a little bit of water just to lubricate it!.......exactly how I like it :no_mouth: !! a bit later on it just turned into a muddy bog-fest!
Really wrecked my average speed after this lot.

7D1149CF-23E3-4ABB-A7D3-640B34724D87.jpeg The Cannondale fully wintered up, don’t like having mudguards on it really, but they saved me a load of clarts today!

Garmin stats, found it hard work today as I’ve not been on a bike for over six weeks, ....I’ve mainly been laying on the settee eating lard over Christmas :joy::joy:!!

Temperature today felt absolutely tropical after last week which struggled to get over zero C

Hope the weather relents a bit now and I can get out more often and get my fitness back, what with the lousy weather the past few weeks and the gyms being closed it’s been tough keeping motivated, I’ve just been doing a few long walks locally,...totally fed up of this COVID shite now!

Tried to buy a turbo trainer last week,....no chance! Every bike shop I looked at,..totally sold out, unbelievable turbo’s are the new toilet paper :D!

Stay well guys, keep pedalling :upyeah:

  5. Winter is back. Snow is ok but 40 mph winds are a pita.

This was a bit longer and deeper than I thought, disc brakes fully submerged for most of it.

  6. Only so long as the water doesn’t trickle into them :grinning:.

  7. They are still pretty new so a tight fit. I was up to my knees pushing through one flood and the socks inside the sealskinz were still dry.

  12. A nice 20 miles this morning. Only 3c and by the end feet were painfully cold. Good to get out and enjoyed it.

Wisley this evening, nearly came a cropper about four times as I hit pockets of forming ice.
